Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS) are a key technology for modern utilities in the secure management of the distribution grid.

Olenick supports Utilities in implementing and delivering ADMS to automate outage restoration and optimize the performance of the distribution utility grid. Olenick has supported Utilities ADMS projects with services including system integration, project management, testing, and quality assurance.


Olenick’s ADMS experience for Utilities includes:

  • ADMS Program System Integration: leading quality control and software testing for a multi-year ADMS integration program involving multiple utility subsidiaries. Planning, coordination, and management of the Quality Control and Testing for the entire ADMS program supporting the convergence and NorthStar plans.


  • OMS/DMS Implementation: delivering an upgrade of the utility’s Outage Management/Distribution Management system (OMS/DMS), including custom configurations to the client’s large-scale needs. Olenick provided the full suite of System Integration services: project management, data migration, tool development, environmental controls, quality assurance, testing, and communication/training.


  • DMS Upgrade: implementation of new version of utility’s Distribution Management System (DMS), for which Olenick delivered Requirements Definition, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and Change Management planning and oversight. Benefits include greater application reliability, an improved testing environment for interfaces and patches and enhanced security features.


  • OMS Upgrade: quality assurance for update of utility’s Outage Management System (OMS) system, incorporating enhancements to make analyzing and dispatching outages easier for the client. Olenick delivered Requirements Definition, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), System Integration Testing (SIT), and Performance Testing.
