Goodbye ILTACON Orlando, Hello a Whole New World of Possibilities
Two weeks ago, Olenick’s Professional Services Team traveled to sunny Orlando for ILTACON 2019.
The conference theme was “A Whole New World of Possibilities,” where attendees explored education sessions and networking opportunities throughout the week. Olenick was able to embrace and incorporate the conference theme into the sessions we facilitated and the theme of our exhibit booth.
In the exhibit hall, Olenick brought our “super powers” to ILTACON through the multitude of services we offer. This year, Olenick’s subject matter experts were present in the booth and hosted “super power” session for attendees to ask questions on topics such as: Windows 10, Project Management, Security, Testing and Quality Assurance, and Automation and AI.
At the exhibit hall opening party on Monday, themed classic television, Olenick embraced their inner Six Million Dollar Man and Bionic Woman. The team informed attendees why Olenick is “better, faster, and stronger” and how we make projects successful with our super powers.
On top of the busy conference days, Olenick had the honor to be a sponsor of ILTA’s G100 CIO Event, an Executive Lunch for Packaged Success, and Traveling Coaches’ “Boardwalk Bash.”
During the week, Olenick had multiple opportunities to share our knowledge with the ILTA community through Education Hub sessions, facilitating sessions, and presenting.
TJ Johnson, Strategy Director, hosted a three-part educational series- Law Firm 101. A total of 100 people participated in one, two, or three informative learning experiences focused on the practice, the business side, and the technologies of law. These sessions intended to filled gaps and make participants more successful in their work.
Scott Christensen, VP, co-hosted a Windows 10-focused education session with Jennifer Zanieski, Troutman Sanders, and Christopher Meissner, Square10 Solutions. The session facilitated great conversations between the panel and the attendees about their own Win 10 journey and lessons learned.
Brent Melson, VP of Innovation, and TJ Johnson held an education session about solving business challenges with AI with guest speaker Brad Blickstein from the Blickstein Group.
“In an effort to meet client and attorney demands, remain relevant, and compete in a rapidly changing technology environment, legal organizations are looking for ways to incorporate legal AI-powered software into their business plans. Some are being quite successful while decisions around which area of focus to approach with an AI-powered tool, which tool(s) will do the job, how to vet AI suppliers, what data sets to train the AI tools, and how to test or confirm the tool is doing what it promised challenge others” commented TJ Johnson about her takeaways as an attendee and facilitator.
TJ Johnson also facilitated the week-long Small and Mid-Sized Firm Collaboration sessions. These sessions created discussions around disruption and innovation in the attendees’ firms, and how to successfully navigate ILTACON with their own goals in mind.
In saying goodbye to an educational week, Olenick is saying hello to a whole new world of possibilities. With takeaways from all the sessions attended, sessions hosted, the people we met, and the opportunities that arose, we are excited to look the future. Thank you to ILTA for another great conference this year, we will see you at ILTACON Europe in November!
