Celebrating Women’s History Month 2021

Women's History Month

Olenick is proud to celebrate March as Women’s History Month, and to honor the invaluable contributions of women not only within our company, but in our communities, nation, and around the world.

As many of the women’s suffrage centennial celebrations originally scheduled for 2020 were postponed, the National Women’s History Alliance is extending the annual theme for 2021 to “Valiant Women of the Vote: Refusing to Be Silenced”.

The 2020 Women’s Vote Centennial Initiative website provides fun resources to enhance knowledge of Women’s Suffrage Movement history including quizzes, crossword puzzles, quizzes for kids, as well as state and local projects which honor the legacy of suffragists around the country who dedicated themselves to the fight for women’s equality.

Also check out The National Women’s History Museum and the Women’s History Month website to learn more about the background of Women’s History Month and for additional resources to study and celebrate the contribution of women to US history and culture, such as the NWHM Women’s History Month Toolkit and the NWHM Online Exhibits.

March 8th is the official International Women’s Day this month; learn more here, and find inspiring resources such as this excellent one dedicated to Women in Tech and Innovation.
